UPDATE: We have had the panels in for 6 months now (winter months) and not that the brighter days are coming were generating more than we are using which is great as we're putting back to the grid. I don't need to heat the water any more I've hot water all the time. V v v happy with the results to date. Our current meter reading was less than the last one submittedwe had been thinking about getting solar panels in for a... while and other companies we called were just business and mater of fact. Roy came to the house and went through the entire process and what would be best suited for our property there was no hard sales push just good honest advice, they took care of all the paperwork and we were told it would probably be after Christmas before we would get them installed (which was fine) , got a call on Monday to say they had a cancellation and if we wanted that they could come Tuesday.they arrived at 1.40 on Tuesday and were like busy worker bees just getting it done with little or no disturbance to me lovely bunch of lads they had the panels up that day and then just a bit of the internal electrics to finish off in the morning. they left the place as tidy as it was when they came .we were shown how the app works and on the dull day that was Wednesday we were still generating some power.I will update my review in a few weeks once i can comment further on the power generation etc but I am extremely pleased with the service received from initial consultation to final fit out.read more

Great job from Caldor from quote to installation. Quote was pragmatic discussion with a pre-sales engineer. Ordering and BER rating very smoothly handled. Installation was excellent. The installers arrived on site at 1 and were done by 6 that day - nice guys giving good advice along the way. Ours is a 6.7kWp (21 panels) with a 5KW inverter and a 2.4kWh battery. Reasonable cost a very professional job. Highly recommended

I am very happy with my recent solar PV system installation by Caldor Solar. We had 16 panels and a 2.4 kw battery installed on the 23rd of April 2021.The whole process was seamless from the first phone call with Roy to the guys installing the panels. Caldor arrived at 7:30 in the morning and was able to complete the whole job in one day, finishing up around 5:30 that evening. They did an incredibly good and tidy job, see... photos below.The results have been unbelievable. Our daily electricity usage works out at about 26 kWh per day and the system is generating on average 33 kWh per day, with 7 kWh exported to the grid, exporting for free at the minute but hopefully that will be changing by the end of July.I am quite happy to recommend Caldor Solar to anyone looking to get a PV system installed. I'm very happy with the service I received. I went with Caldor initially because they provided a number of systems to work with the solar panels, includind e-car charger, and solar powered immersion. Quotation and plan for work was clear. The whole installation took a work day. Work was quick and clean. The first electricity bill after install was essentially zero, and we have had hot water at all times, even now with the... nights closing in. Caldor installed their system on our house in March in the Sligo area. Great investment. I recommend when once installed that you monitor the system on a daily basis using the app Caldor sets up for you. This will tell how much you are generating, what the house is using, the level of your battery and how much is going back to the grid. Because I check each day I can see the difference between sunny days and dull. I am so... surprised at how well this system works on dull days. Today it's dull, damp, cold with sunny spells - normal Irish weather. At 12.55pm I was generating 2.18kw, battery was at 89 percent, house using 460w and 960w going back into the grid. The amount going back into the grid per day is shocking. Caldor installed late March 2020, Finished the day of lockdown so was lucky, just love it and best investment i've made, instead of leaving funds in bank, its adds value to house and is saving money from dawn to dusk or with a battery even after that.To know you are running house electric grid free once sun is out or even a grey day makes me kick myself I held off so long.
